A Thought From Former Student Tania Bell

A few years ago, God put on my heart the idea of Africa. I didn’t know why at the time but it stayed with me for all this time. Just over a year an a half ago I was at a youth camp over in England and we were told to ask God a question about our future. I knew that at some point in my life I would have something to do with Africa so I simply asked Him, “When?” Almost immediately after that word came out of my mouth, another word popped into my mind which was “Now.” So that is what lead me to where I am now; about to go on a plane to Zambia to go and serve at an orphanage called the Street-life Project and at the church that it’s connected to. In between all the planning and talking back and forth with Joseph, the pastor, and Lillian, his wife and the project founder, it was decided that I would go over build up a library in their new school, help the kids with homework and teach them how to read and write. This was the area where most help was needed and where I could serve the most. Between all of that, I will be spending a lot of time with the church, doing feeding programs and generally just having quality time with all the kids. I will mainly be focused with the girl’s section of the program but overall they have nearly a hundred kids in the orphanage and feed over 300 children every week.

I would be so grateful if you could pray for my up and coming journey; for safety, protection, health, but mainly so that God uses me in amazing ways over there.

Thank you ever so much,
